HOA Board Meeting Minutes – November 14, 2023

Meeting Duration: 6:30pm to 7:30pm
Board Members Present: Sean Riley, Scott Aurand, Pat Friel, St Womack, and Mike Willemin
Non-Board Homeowners Present: None

  • Meeting Minutes: Minutes from the Homestead Homeowners Association (HHA) October 2023 Board Meeting were unanimously approved.
  • Homeowner Items: Homestead Water is still waiting for EPA testing to be completed. They will send a water report to the community once received.
  • General Business:
    • The required notification for HB23-1105 Colorado Homeowner Task Force was mailed out.
    • Altitude Law training is a good way for the Board to keep informed.
    • ST Womack will start on next year’s budget to present at the next Board Meeting.
    • ST Womack recommended moving some of the balance into an interest bearing account.
  • Treasurer Update: ST Womack provide the Treasurer’s update.
    • HOA’s current account balance is $19662.79, with two homeowners’ still outstanding in their dues.
    • Homestead Fall Picnic cost $570.00.
    • Gifts for new baby and condolences cost $150.00.
  • Architectural Update: Mike Willemin provided an Architectural Committee update:
    • Doug Olney (20384 Flint Lane) requested approval to place an 8′ x 10′ Tuff Shed on his property. Since he was in compliance with all covenants regarding one outbuilding and color, his request was approved.
  • Maintenance Update: Pat Friel provided a maintenance update:
    • Pat will follow up on any remaining potholes, cracks and disintegrating road shoulders before the end of the year.
    • Jefferson County has installed all the signs that they are currently planning to install. The HHA Board will survey Mariposa and Ault Lane for possible HHA-installed speed limit signs.
  • Secretary’s Report: Marc Bohn was not in attendance and had no report.
  • Social Committee Update: In Dana Correll‘s absence, Sean Riley led the Social Committee discussion:
    • Halloween: Halloween trick-or-treating caravan around the HHA was a success.   
    • Turkey Trot: Dana Correll is organizing a Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving and has plans to organizing a Christmas Caroling activity in December.
  • Miscellaneous Updates:
    • HOA Document Storage: Please send relevant documents or emails to Ginny Riley for storage (e.g., architectural approvals, legal, miscellaneous).
  • Next Meeting: Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 6:30pm.
